The Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) of the University of Osnabrueck in Germany has issued country profiles regarding immigration. They provide information on migration, refugee flows and integration with data and statistics, historical background as well as legislation and policy. They are available for the following countries of our partnership:

The web site of the Immigration museum has a section about the challenges of our days "Questions contemporaines". It also proposes many interesting podcasts from conferences related to immigration (in French).

An interesting article from Le Monde analyses "Seven misconceptions about immigration".  Among them: "There is an explosion about immigration in France" that has to be relativised (In 1982 we had 7,2% of immigrants and 6,3% of foreigners - in 2011, 8,4% of immigrants and 5,8% of foreigners). 

A survey has been published in Infos migrations n° 55 in 2013 to measure the impact of the compulsory French courses for newcomers. They allow a progress, but limited. The improvement of French depends primarily on the initial level and on the living environment. The benefits are mainly found in daily life. The Infos migrations n°68  analyses the difficulties encountered by migrants for writing.
